Today I remembered that, for some reason, my father liked to put an ice cube in his tea so he could drink it right away (this was not true of coffee).
At the time this seemed to me to be so silly that I never believed the answer he gave for why he did it (so he could drink it right away and as the tea grew stronger from absorbing the tea flavor from the bag, it would be balanced by the water from the cube).
I thought of this today because after I had heated some tea I put a little cranberry juice in it (then I heated it again because I like my tea really, really hot.)

Martin's memories preceding the chronicles, i.e., before 1986. The reason for this blog is to capture old memories that come back to me at seemingly random times. Thus the entries will not be in chronological order. Also, the accuracy of this blog is less than the accuracy in the more contemporaneous blog http://weisschronicles.blogspot.com/
